SITE DEVELOPMENT: Sculptor -- Date etched near artist's name is 2000
SPONSOR: Family/friends/colleagues -- Patrick F. Taylor, CPL USMCR; LSU student AND Louisana businessman (CEO and founder, Taylor Energy) who believed in and supported public education.
COMMENT 1: Lejeune, born in Louisana and a student at LSU, was a U.S. Naval Academy graduate (1888).
