DESIGN: Maker (1) -- The wooden ship Macedonian figurehead is a bust of Alexander the Great. Its artist, according to SIRIS, is unknown; it gives a creation date of circa 1810.

SITE: The figurehead was relocated to USNA from the Norfolk Navy Yard, Virginia, in 1875 (SIRIS).
