Description
The sculpture-fountain expresses a town’s and an artist’s appreciation to, and as well honors, a husband and wife team, Walter and Judy Handelman. They provided far-ranging and sustained services to this community, Scarsdale, New York. And they contributed as well to other communities and activities. • The silicon bronze sculpture was created by artist Aristides Burton Demetrios, Massachusetts-born, who for four decades has created works in various styles, sizes and materials for settings public and private. • This piece is situated in front of the town hall, where Popham Road intersects White Plains Road, Scarsdale. It was dedicated March 29, 2010.
